FAQS

Shipping & Freshness
How fast do you ship?

Orders are roasted to order and typically ship within 1–3 business days. Because we roast in small batches rather than pulling from a warehouse shelf, your coffee is fresh, not stale.

What does shipping cost?

Single-bag orders ship for a flat $2.50. Orders of $50 or more ship free. Two-bag subscription orders always ship free, regardless of order total.

How should I store my coffee to keep it fresh?

Keep your bag sealed and stored in a cool, dark place — a pantry or cabinet works great. Avoid the fridge or freezer, which can introduce moisture. Our bags are designed with a one-way valve to let CO2 escape while keeping oxygen out, so your coffee stays fresher longer.

How long does a bag stay fresh once opened?

For the best flavor, we recommend enjoying your coffee within 2–3 weeks of opening. Whole bean will stay fresher longer than pre-ground.

Subscriptions
How does the subscription work?

Choose your roast (or roasts), your grind, and your delivery frequency. Your coffee ships automatically on that schedule — no need to reorder. Subscribers save 10% on every bag, automatically.

Can I change or cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. You're always in control — pause, skip a delivery, change your roast, adjust your frequency, or cancel entirely, anytime, no questions asked.

Can I mix roasts in my subscription?

Yes. If you subscribe to two bags, you're welcome to choose two different roasts so you can enjoy variety with every shipment.

When will I be charged?

Your card is charged when each subscription order processes, ahead of that shipment going out.

Product & Quality
Is your coffee 100% Arabica?

Yes. All three of our roasts — Obsidian, Meridian, and Vela — are 100% Arabica. No robusta fillers, ever.

Is your coffee tested for safety?

Yes. Each batch is lab-tested for heavy metals, mycotoxins, and yeast/mold by FoodChain ID, an independent third-party food safety lab.

What roast levels do you offer?

Obsidian is our dark roast — bold, rich, low acidity. Meridian is our medium roast — balanced and smooth, a great everyday cup. Vela is our light roast, a single origin from Ethiopia — floral, fruit-forward, and aromatic.

Do you offer ground coffee or whole bean?

Both. Choose your preferred grind (or whole bean) at checkout.

Where does your coffee come from?

Our beans are sourced from select growing regions across South America and Ethiopia, then roasted in small batches to bring out the character of each origin.

Why only three coffees?

We'd rather do three exceptional roasts really well than a dozen forgettable ones. Every MOVARA coffee earns its place in the lineup.
